LIFELONG LEARNING, ENGAGING AND INTERESTING THROUGH FUN AND SPORTING (TOP) PERFORMANCE

Hockey Club 's-Hertogenbosch is a club where ambition and top performance go hand in hand with the joy of playing. Where everyone feels welcome, young and old alike. Lifelong learning, engagement, and engagement are our mission. And based on this mission, we support and develop the initiatives below to promote and maintain the importance of exercise and a healthy lifestyle among children, young people, and the elderly.

DISCOVER SPORTIVELY

Through a combination of hockey clinics led by top coaches, various workshops on healthy nutrition and new sports, Sportief Ontdekken aims to develop important skills such as teamwork, perseverance and discipline.

Our mission: all of 's-Hertogenbosch moving, and all children fit in 's-Hertogenbosch.

Hockey Foundation and HC 's-Hertogenbosch connect sport with society

At HC 's-Hertogenbosch, not only sports are central, but social engagement also plays a crucial role. This was reaffirmed during an inspiring meeting between Chaimae Fadis, ambassador of the Hockey Foundation, and Jacques Brinkman, the former hockey legend who has more than earned his stripes on the field and now uses his passion and experience as a club coach to serve the community in 's-Hertogenbosch.

Jacques Brinkman, whose hockey talent is undeniable, has shifted his focus to coaching coaches and developing community projects. His work extends from the green fields of HC 's-Hertogenbosch to schoolyards and neighborhoods in the surrounding area. He is a fervent advocate of sports as a tool for positive change and sees it as a powerful outlet for all ages, with a particular emphasis on children.

A key element of Brinkman's approach is overcoming barriers to participation. By actively involving children in sports, even outside their immediate neighborhood, he helps them develop valuable skills and engage in positive social interactions. This work is made possible in part by the support of local authorities and sponsors, including Rabobank, who recognize and support the value of these initiatives.

In a moving speech, Brinkman shared the story of a young man whose life took a positive turn thanks to his involvement in sports. This example illustrates the unprecedented potential that sports can have to transform lives and bring communities together.

Finally, Jacques Brinkman urged everyone to be active not only within their sports club, but also beyond. By rolling up their sleeves in neighborhoods and at schools, they can help make sports even more enjoyable and make a real contribution to society.

At HC 's-Hertogenbosch, we are proud of this social dimension of our club and encourage everyone to take Jacques Brinkman's message to heart: let sport be a means to enrich the world around us.

Sports & Meeting

Active & Meeting takes place every Monday between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM at Hockey Club 's-Hertogenbosch on Oosterplasweg. Everyone is welcome to participate in activities organized by volunteers, Farent, and Hockey Club 's-Hertogenbosch. In addition to a group warm-up, various forms of exercise are offered each week, such as (walking) hockey, padel, pétanque, and after lunch, shuffleboard and various (board) games. Seniors from 's-Hertogenbosch are encouraged to exercise within their capabilities, under professional guidance. The social aspect also plays a significant role: gathering, socializing, and enjoying a healthy lunch. A small contribution is requested for coffee, tea, and lunch.

With your heart foundation

The Met je hart Foundation is committed to helping seniors who live independently, have difficulty leaving the house, and rarely meet people. It alleviates loneliness among seniors by connecting them with volunteers and each other.

We support Met je hart by regularly inviting them for lunch in our restaurant and by donating the deposit proceeds from November every year.

Social partner Rabobank supports these initiatives.
