indoor hockey
Indoor hockey is an essential part of the hockey season. It offers players a great opportunity to further develop their technique and game insight. Our club depends on the hall capacity provided by the municipality for indoor hockey.

Participation
Our starting point: all youth and senior teams that want to play indoor hockey must be able to participate in the competition. Due to the limited availability of indoor hockey facilities, the following rules apply:
- Youngest youth teams U10 and U11: play competitions and receive training from the club.
- Youth teams U12 Boys 1 and 2 and Girls 1 to 3: play competitions and receive training from the club.
- Youth teams U14 to U18: Boys 1 to 3 and girls 1 to 4: play competitions and receive training from the club.
- Other youth teams play competitively, but arrange their own coaches and training facilities. Experience shows this works well.
- Senior teams play competitively and arrange their own training sessions and training rooms.
KNHB indoor hockey competition:
- Period: November 29, 2025 to February 8, 2026
- Match dates: Matches can be scheduled for both Saturdays and Sundays. View the full matchday calendar on the KNHB website.
- Please note: Matches may fall during school holidays. Rescheduling or catching up is not possible. Teams that fail to show up risk a hefty fine.
- Special note: The weekend of January 3rd and 4th, 2026 (Christmas break) is a fixed playing time. Please check everyone's availability in advance and arrange substitutes if necessary.
Trainings
- All training sessions are visible in the HCDB Club App. You'll also see who's training before or after you, so you know if you need to lay or take down beams yourself.
- Interested in renting a venue yourself? Contact the municipality at verhuursport@shertogenbosch.nl. If you're having trouble, please contact the venue committee.
Indoor hockey materials
Those who participate in indoor hockey are expected to always use the following in the halls:
- Indoor hockey stick and indoor hockey ball
- Indoor shoes (wear them indoors to keep the hall clean and playable)
- Indoor glove
Contribution
Membership fees are charged for participation in the KNHB competition and (if applicable) training sessions:
- Teams with club training: membership fee was €93.00 last year; this is expected to increase slightly.
- Teams without club training: membership fees were €31.00 last year; we expect a slight increase here as well. The teams arrange and fund their own training sessions.
- The membership fee will be collected around mid-December based on the player list as of December 1, 2025.
Bad weather conditions
In case of bad weather conditions the following guidelines apply:
- Code Red: Cancellation by the KNHB. The hall committee is canceling hall reservations.
- Code Orange: Cancellation by the district. Clubs can decide among themselves to play anyway. The indoor committee will consult with team contacts.
- Code Yellow: Clubs decide for themselves. The team that rides has the final say. Consultation takes place via the indoor committee.
