PARA-HOCKEY
NO ONE OFFSIDE ANYMORE
Our motto is: "Ordinary what is possible and special what must be special!"
Target audience
Para-hockey is intended for young people (8 to 18 ), not wheelchair-dependent, who cannot compete with peers in a regular hockey team primarily due to their physical limitations.
Society is increasingly focused on integrating people with disabilities into today's society as much as possible. This integration is receiving increasing attention in sports, because sports are also important for people with disabilities. Clubs, with a sense of social responsibility, create a place within the club for children and young people with physical disabilities. When teaching hockey skills, the emphasis should not be on the disability, but on what is within their capabilities. In principle, the normal rules, techniques, and tactics of regular hockey are used. Safety
A key principle of any activity offering is safety, inviting atmosphere, and playability. Where and when: At our complex on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM. During these training sessions, the technical and tactical skills of hockey are taught. Since the 2007/2008 season, we have participated in the national Para-competition. Where possible, we organize internal matches. The KNHB organizes an annual national field hockey tournament for all LG teams. Interested?
To give everyone a taste of what para-hockey is all about, we'll be offering three trial training sessions. These sessions are completely free of charge and without obligation. Please register with one of the contact persons. HC 's-Hertogenbosch will provide hockey sticks and balls for these trial sessions. If you'd like to become a member after these sessions, you can register using the registration form elsewhere on this website.
